It is story of some people who actually proven the fact that we need to be rich enough to serve the society. But these people through there work proven it wrong One of them is Thimakka,who is 106 yrs old and popularly called as VRIKSHA MATHE, she has planted 8000 tress in 80 yrs and she also preserved endangered plants and at age 106 she received padmashree award for her afforestation. Among the awardees, Lakshmikutty is a tribal woman from Kerala. She prepares herbal medicine and help thousands of people especially in snake and insect bite cases. She lives in a small hut made of palm leaves roof in tribal settlement in a forest. She is the only tribal woman from her area to attend school in 1950s.
Kamala Pujari is a tribal woman in Odhisha state. She is well known for promoting organic farming. She learned the basic techniques from M S Swaminathan Research Foundation and has contributed .
